Moral Claim Argument under 250 words: It is morally obligatory to be a vegetarian.

As humans we are obligated to, to the best of our ability, act morally.    It is only morally permissible to take part in the harming of another if the act is in the direct purpose of protecting our wellbeing.  As superior beings in discernibility we must, at the very least, act in such a way that we do not take advantage of nor harm other beings to satisfy the former.

Animals are slaughtered for the sake of supplying humans with food.  When a human being eats animals that have been mass-slaughtered they are partaking in the immoral harming of another being.  Humans can sustain a healthy diet without eating animals.  To sustain from the act of eating meat is to be a “Vegetarian”.  Vegetarianism is an established lifestyle choice that satisfies our moral obligation whilst sustaining a healthy diet.  Therefore, it is morally obligatory to be a vegetarian.
